Dan Newton

Hi, I'm Dan. I use AI to build real businesses, communities and software.

Come and see what's possible with AI. You might just build something of your own.

That AI Community is where I open up the process: the ideas, tools, experiments, breakthroughs and things that go completely wrong. You can follow real projects as I build them, then begin exploring what you could create for yourself.

No technical background needed. Just curiosity and something you want to explore.

This isn't another AI course.

I'm not building a polished course and pretending I have AI figured out.

I'm learning every day by using it to build real communities, software, tools, platforms and businesses.

Inside That AI Community, I share what I'm working on, the tools I'm using, what works, what breaks and what I learn along the way.

You won't just watch from the outside.

You'll be encouraged to take what you discover and start applying it to your own ideas, work or business.

"The rabbit hole goes much deeper than posts and prompts."

What can you actually build with AI?

  • 01
    CRM systems

The one I run for SETL started as a weekend experiment, not a purchase.

  • 02
    Internal tools

Small pieces of software that remove the admin nobody enjoys doing.

  • 03
    Websites and shops

Built, launched and changed in days instead of waiting on a dev queue.

  • 04
    Automations

Quiet workflows that handle the repetitive parts of running a business.

  • 05
    Prototypes

A rough working version of an idea, so you can find out if it has legs.

Things that once required development teams, serious budgets and months of work are becoming accessible to small teams and solo founders.

That doesn't make building easy.

You still need judgement, patience, curiosity and something people genuinely want.

But it means we can build, test and find out.

What happens inside?

01

Real projects

See ideas move from an initial thought to a working product. Follow the decisions, changes, mistakes and breakthroughs while they are happening.

02

Tools and workflows

Explore the AI tools, platforms and workflows I use inside my own businesses and projects.

03

Build something

Use what you discover to explore an idea, solve a problem or introduce AI into your existing business.

04

A curious community

Ask questions, share progress and meet people who are serious about discovering how deep the AI rabbit hole goes.

Dan Newton, founder of That AI Community

I'm Dan Newton.

I'm a founder who uses AI to build businesses, communities, software and digital tools.

I have a portfolio of digital businesses and have built hundreds of small apps, tools and prototypes.

Some now play a part in my day-to-day businesses. Some were created to make my own work easier. Plenty went absolutely nowhere.

SETL is probably the best example of what this new way of working can create.

It began as an idea and has grown into a UK-wide community of more than 200 members, with new platforms and AI-powered tools being built around it.

I don't have everything figured out.

I'm still learning, testing, building, breaking things and discovering what is becoming possible.

That AI Community is where I share that journey and help other people begin exploring ideas of their own.

Building. Breaking. Learning. Repeating.

Is this your kind of community?

This could be for you if:

  • You have an idea but don't know how to start
  • You want to use AI inside an existing business
  • You're curious about building software or digital tools
  • You want to understand AI beyond posts and prompts
  • You learn by experimenting
  • You're willing to participate and share progress

This probably isn't for you if:

  • You want guaranteed income or instant success
  • You only want a collection of prompts
  • You expect somebody else to do everything for you
  • You aren't willing to experiment when things break

Come further down the rabbit hole.

Don't just watch what AI is doing. Start exploring it.

Come inside my AI world, see what I'm building and use what you discover to begin creating something of your own.

You don't need to be technical.

You don't need to have everything figured out.

You just need enough curiosity to begin.

Learn alongside people who want to build, test and explore.

Questions.

Is this an AI course?

No. There will be useful videos, demonstrations and resources, but the main value is seeing real work happen, asking questions and building alongside the community.

Do I need to understand code?

No. The community is designed for ordinary people. You don't need a technical background, but you do need to be willing to learn and experiment.

Do I need to have a business idea?

No. You may want to improve an existing business, solve a problem at work or simply explore what is becoming possible.

What kind of things will I see?

Real projects, software, tools, platforms, communities, automations and experiments. I'll share what works as well as what goes wrong.

Where does the community live?

The main community is hosted on Skool. Membership information will be provided when the doors are open.

The first 20 are on me.

I'm inviting 20 curious people to become the founding members of That AI Community, with free access while we build its foundations together.

You'll come inside from the beginning, follow what I'm building and start exploring an idea of your own. In return, I want your curiosity, participation and honest feedback.

This isn't for passive spectators or people applying just to have a nosey. You need a genuine idea, problem or opportunity that you want to explore with AI.

That AI Community will eventually become a paid membership. Founding access is free.

Be specific. It doesn't need to be perfectly formed, but there should be a genuine idea or problem behind it.
